Dr. Jennifer Young, DPM
Dr. Jennifer Young is a highly trained foot and ankle surgeon committed to helping patients regain mobility, relieve pain, and return to the activities they enjoy. At Foot & Ankle Specialists of Central PA, she provides personalized, patient-centered care using the latest surgical techniques and evidence-based treatments to address a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Young grew up in Ardmore before earning her undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, where she developed a strong foundation in advanced foot and ankle care.
Dr. Young completed a three-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Detroit Medical Center before pursuing an additional one-year fellowship at the Foot & Ankle Institute in Indiana. During her fellowship, she specialized in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction, gaining extensive experience in trauma management, total ankle replacement, flatfoot reconstruction, deformity correction, ankle arthroscopy, tendon repair and augmentation, and surgical treatment of advanced arthritis, including fusion procedures.
Throughout her education and training, Dr. Young earned numerous honors recognizing both her academic achievements and dedication to advancing podiatric medicine. She received awards at the 49th Midwest Student Biomedical Research Forum and at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. She also participated in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Summer Research Fellowship Program and was honored with the Volunteer Service Award.

Dr. Young is board qualified in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction and is passionate about helping patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life through compassionate, individualized care. Whether providing conservative treatment or performing advanced reconstructive surgery, she is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for every patient.
Outside of the office, Dr. Young enjoys biking, exploring vegan cuisine, and traveling. She proudly calls Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, home.
